Plymouth Labour Party Campaign Launch

My morning was spent at Plymouth Community Homes, where I am a Board member on the customer focus committee.  Plymouth Community Homes put a great deal of emphasis on listening to tenants and improving services based on their needs.  On this particular day I was supporting a new tenant co-optee through their first committee meeting.

After a quick bite to eat I headed to St Budeaux library, where I was met by a team of volunteers.  On a very blustery sunny evening we knocked on doors and listening to residents about the issues that mattered to them.  A recurring theme was the renewal of trident.  It was good to be able to reassure people that the Labour policy is to support Trident and if we vote on this I will be voting to renew trident.

That evening was the Plymouth Labour Campaign Launch.  It was the  great to be joined by my fellow parliamentary candidates; Luke Pollard for Plymouth Sutton & Devonport and Philippa Davey for South West Devon.  The Hall was packed with over 200 labour party members all keen to hit the streets and talk to as many people as possible.

Afterwards in typical Labour Party Tradition we all went to the pub.
